Story on Jackal Trapping, Baghdad Iraq, by Chad Artimovich.
In the early 80's i trapped as a young man and spent many hours on ice covered ponds or lakes in search of beavers and other animals. I trapped mainly for the extra money, as well as for the heritage aspect. I enjoyed the outdoors and nature and always was fascinated by animals. I explored everywhere I went. I would use a net to scoop up mud from the bottom of a pond to see the living creatures that thrived in this environment. After high school, I entered into the United States Marine Corps from 91-95 as an 0311 Infantrymen. During my four year enlistment I learned a lot about life and visited many places abroad. I took part in Operation Restore Hope in Somalia in 1993 and Uphold Democracy in Haiti, in 1994. Once I was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, I decided to join the National Guard in 2000, never thought I would ever go anywhere, but five years later, I found myself in Iraq as a gunner on a Bradley Fighting Vehicle, I returned in 2006 and three years later got called to the fight in Afghanistan. I enjoy operating my company and solving problems associated with wildlife and other nuisance animals. Since 2004, Atlanta Wildlife Solutions, LLC has been providing quality service to customers in the Atlanta area. We hope that you will find our company to be the right one for you.

In 2004, Atlanta Wildlife Solutions, LLC was created to provide quality services to homeowners and businesses alike, that required affordable solutions to rats and squirrels that had taken residence on their property. Shortly after the company was created in May of 2004 it was shut down due to myself being
deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During my tour in Iraq as a Bradley Fighting Vehicle Gunner in South West, Baghdad, I was awarded a Purple Heart for being wounded by an Improvised Explosive Device that the insurgents had buried in the ground. Luckily I escaped alive with all my parts.
During the deployment I was sent traps for rodents that were living in our dusty canvas tent, I captured many mice and rats from the tent. The KBR Pest Control Contractors were being paid 80k or more for what I was doing. Later, before departing I had more traps sent for Jackals that were running all over the complex we moved to. In all, I captured 1 Fox, 3 Jackals, 1 Wolf, and 2 mongooses during my last month in Baghdad.
In 2006, I returned home and reopened the business, providing the same quality of service as before I left.
Called again! Currently deployed to Eastern Afghanistan and scheduled to return in Spring 2010.
